Evaluating the Theoretical and Practical Dimensions of the Educational System in Girls' Technical and Vocational Schools

Abstract :
This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the theoretical and practical dimensions of the educational system of technical and vocational conservatories for girls. The study is an applied study in terms of its purpose and a descriptive approach of evaluation in terms of methodology. The statistical population of the study includes all art students and art students working in conservatories in the Tehran region, who were selected using a multi-stage cluster sampling method. The data collection tool was researcher-made questionnaires. By reviewing the research background, the components of the theoretical dimension (providing basic knowledge and theories related to technical and vocational fields) and the practical dimension (developing practical skills and the ability to perform technical tasks) were identified, and research questionnaires were prepared based on that. In order to examine content validity, Lavish Content Validity Index (CVR) and (CVI) were used, and Cronbach's alpha was used to examine reliability. The findings indicate that the research findings show that from the perspective of art students and artists, the educational system of girls' technical and vocational conservatories in both theoretical and practical dimensions is facing damages that are at the critical border between the moderate and high damage levels. The average damage in the theoretical dimension (3.14) and (3.29) is at the upper limit of the moderate damage level (1.34-3.33) and on the verge of entering the high damage level (3.34), and in the practical dimension it is more sensitive to the average damage (3.28) and (4). .
