A more increasing contribution to innovation and technology development, along with educational and research missions, is the new identity universities adopt in knowledge societies. Accordingly, universities, as the foundation generating knowledge as well as an entrepreneur, play an essential role in innovation. Having conducted an experimental study, the current article both described the interaction between universities and industry and evaluated the challenges this relation would face via a qualitative method and through analyzing Tehran University PhD students’ viewpoints. As the results suggested, there was no consistent and meaningful relation between universities and industry. Moreover, there was no evidence showing the new identity of universities regarding industry. The best state of this relation is its socialistic model. As the PhD students stated, the absence of reciprocal needs including the absence of industry’s feeling of need for universities as well as universities’ lack of motivation for collaboration with industry were the factors preventing these two institutions from establishing a suitable relation. Research collaboration between university and industry is so significant in knowledge flow from university to industry as well as makes it practical. One of the main channels for this purpose is university- industry co- publication.  The aim of the research is to investigate the university and industry collaboration based on the co-publication indicator in the Persian documents which are indexed in the Iran Science Citation Index (SCI) in 1994 and also to identify universities and industries that collaborate in these publications and finally to map the structure of co- publication network on the political map of Iran. In order to calculate the collaboration, the “total count” method of co-authored is applied and collaboration network is mapped by Excel and Ucinet and Pajek soft wares in the GPS environment.   The results shows that in 1394, 270 co- publication articles were indexed in the SCI database by 94 universities and 150 industry unites. Adjusting geographical distribution of co-publications of university and industry on Iran’s political map revealed that 30 provinces involved in collaboration. Among them Tehran province  has the most collaboration with others and Khoozestan and Esfahan provinces are in next ranks respectively. The results show that the number of co-publication of university and industry, is so low and is limited to the specified universities and industries. Because of the importance of  co-publication as a tool to commercialize university knowledge and improving targets of knowledge- based economy, the research policies  should be adopting in the way that increase the publication of university and industry.   Manuscript profile

Raising the educational and academic status and ranking of universities to that of internationally accepted world-class universities has become the goal of many university higher administrators around the globe in recent years. This trend has been made possible and accelerated by rapid global economic growth and development. World-class universities, are essential in developing a nation’s competitiveness in the global knowledge economy. These universities, at the pinnacle of the higher education hierarchy, play key roles in creating and disseminating knowledge, educating a highly skilled workforce, and serving the needs of society. This paper tries to take advantage of the existing literature in the field of World-Class University, and with do a review of the literature the introduce the concept of World-Class University and strategies towards the building world-class universities. The results indicated that in recent years The concept of the world-class university has become a concept much invoked by governments and also by universities themselves in many countries and is an idea now firmly embedded in the higher education policies and strategies of a range of nations. Various developmental strategies at national and institutional levels have been drawn up and implemented. Clearly the worldwide market for students and the ceaseless search for research funding and prestige are crucial elements in this fascination with the idea of a world-class university, as well as the desire of governments for universities to contribute to their national economies. Despite or maybe because of the lack of a clear definition of the concept,  the ‘world-class’ notion  has become everyday language in many universities.                         Today, the Entrepreneur University, academic entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of academic research are somehow attracting attention that has put pressure on academic institutions to become entrepreneurs. Accordingly, the present study aims to design and develop a step-by-step model of university entrepreneurship. In this model there are five stages in the process of university entrepreneurship that are: motivation, governance, selection, competition, and performance. The process of entrepreneurship originates from the motivation of faculty members from universities, industries and government to commercialize science and knowledge from academic research. In this model, the governance and competitiveness stages associated with the process of commercialization of academic knowledge make the selection of the method fit and, ultimately, the implementation of academic entrepreneurship. This research has a descriptive-analytic dimension and has been done through documentary study. Findings of the research confirm that the step-by-step model of university entrepreneurship is a structured way to understand facilitator and mediator relationships that stimulate entrepreneurship mobility.   Manuscript profile

Increased productivity at universities is dependent upon the amount of research and development done which in terms of theoretical principles is called institutional research. In recent decades, the most important Iran’s economic problem has been low investment in the creation of knowledge and promotion of productivity. It is desirable for Iran’s universities to become knowledge based. So IR is the most suitable approach to achieve this goal. While the unit of Institutional Research of the world's most prestigious universities is created to strengthen university-industry collaboration, , it has been neglected in Iran’s universities. This research attempts to explain the concept of IR and identify the methods which can be implemented through the study of theoretical principles and Delphi technique. Manuscript profile

The author of this research is an experienced investor with a long-standing and established presence in the industry and has a dynamic relationship with local universities. He considers the first step as clearly defining the goals of academic self-governance, followed by a thorough identification of incentives for self-governance at higher education institutions. Why should universities be self-governed?What measures need to be taken to achieve “self-governance” at universities?Below, the underlying reasons for progressing towards “self-governance” in higher education institutions will be explained in detail: -The need for investment to develop infrastructure pertinent to universities. -The Government’s limited and arguably insufficient funding for universities. -The need to foster financial and income diversity among universities. -Benefiting from the process of financing as a tool for transformation. -The need to increase welfare benefits and enhance general standards of living for academics through wealth creation by universities themselves. -The need for quantitative and qualitative enhancement of resources made available to university researchers, specialists, and consultants in the field of Industry and Economy. -Helping mitigate the “brain drain” crisis . -The need for improved standards of accountability with respect to university stakeholders. (Through a more prominent involvement of universities in the nation’s development process). -The need for innovation in the field of technology. -Increasing the competitiveness of local universities in accordance with international standards. -The need for independence and financial autonomy of universities to grow and evade restrictions. In this section, we will attempt to clarify our definition of "self-governance at universities" as financial self-governance – aiming to minimize reliance on public funds as the main source of endowments. By emphasizing on the lawful self-governance of universities, in line with their institutional missions, the potential of universities will no longer be constrained by the “what ifs” and “only ifs” commonly heard at academic institutions dependent on public funds. The need for self-governance (financial self-sufficiency) can also be traced in the Constitution. Finally, it is essential to note that by paving the way for self-governance at universities through the allocation of responsibilities among academia as their “national commitment”, we can help transform the industry and promote the sustainable development of the country. Addressing the methods of achieving self-governance, we should reevaluate our perception of universities by looking through a different lens. Perceiving universities as “enterprises” or “firms” reveals the nuanced dimensions of the issue and allows for greater emphasis to be put on "industry" as the main customer of universities. At the third and final stage of the quest, the deviser of the Bridge plan suggests that there will be a systematic yet creative connection between the notion of academic self-governance and the Bridge plan itself. The wagons of academic self-governance will fit perfectly on the railway tracks of the Bridge plan, and the train will head for the destination. In this part, we will provide a brief overview of the Bridge plan for those not familiar with it. The Bridge Plan: The metaphorical use of the term “bridge” is meant to describe the dynamic relationship between the industry and universities, as the driving forces behind the economic development of the country. It should be noted that the Bridge plan is a trnasformational progress towards tackling the most fundamental issues in the national economy–through a process-oriented and purposeful act of “bridgin Manuscript profile

In the last few decades, the challenge of "industry-university relationship" has been the most important current issue in the country. "Standard and standard attitude" is a kind of practical thinking that is organized from the integration of global experiences and public knowledge. One of the most important words in all standards developed at the international, national and organizational levels is the word "root cause". Ensuring the dynamism and reliability of the industry is the full observance of the necessary standards. Industrial culture grows by accepting and applying the standard in various dimensions of production and service, and expresses its impact beautifully. Those involved in the field of planning and implementation in the issue of the relationship between university and industry, should pay more attention to the observance of "professional and engineering ethics".At the heart of this is a commitment to honesty and belief in effectiveness. Knowing and applying engineering ethics charters around the world not only deepens the perspective but also expands the scope of action commitment. Ethics is a basic necessity for sustainable scientific development. Reproducing the issue of education and training at the university level is a very important challenge. University education is theoretical and does not have a skill or professional approach. The goal of the human resources industry is to train skilled craftsmen to do the job. The bridge between the university and industry is reliable with the aim of applying the lessons learned and the experiences gained. Manuscript profile

The challenge of the relationship between academia and industry is an issue that experts and academics and industry officials have been addressing more and more in recent years and are looking for safe and planned solutions and ways to strengthen this relationship. The relationship between industry and academia has been discussed in the country for several decades, and the first statements of the Supreme Leader in this regard date back to 1990, but what is certain is that there has been no effective relationship between science, academia and industry; Today, more than ever, the structure of science, technology and industry in the country needs to be reviewed and interacted as much as possible, and industry stakeholders must accept the fact that, along with the university, they will be able to fully absorb technology. This is part of His Holiness's statement in a group meeting of university professors, elites and researchers: "We have talked a lot about 'beneficial science'; "That is, the science that solves the problems of the country; the solution of the problems of the country is a beneficial science, that is, it is a scientific confrontation with the various problems that exist in the country." At first glance, perhaps the biggest problem in the communication space between industry, society and academia is the technical issue, but upon entering this space, it is seen that this is not the case in practice, and it seems that lack of information, lack of trust and lack of motivation are the three main pillars. ; Too often, our industry and society are unaware of the capacity and potential of knowledge-based companies, academic companies, and faculty members. In the current era, universities and entrepreneurs have a greater mission and social responsibility in the face of economic development, productivity in production and the creation of sustainable income, and a connection with industry and production. These basic problems led to the presentation of research in this area to be able to be effective in removing existing barriers. One of the most important challenges in the relationship between industry and the university is the academic level of Iran's first-ranked universities, which is at the level of international knowledge, while Iran's industry is at the level of developing countries. Cooperation between the industrial sector and universities is undoubtedly one of the areas that is discussed in all countries and can have a decisive impact on the economy and industry of that country. Therefore, establishing a coherent and organized relationship between industries and universities is one of the basic needs of countries. This connection helps universities to align their educational and research activities with the needs of society and industry, and to develop specialists and researchers who can truly meet the needs of industry. In recent years, the cooperation between academia and industry in some areas has brought important achievements to the country, but there are still very important measures that can be taken to increase synergy and cooperation between universities and industrial units.Fortunately, in this regard, the country's universities and research institutes have started appropriate measures and have defined and implemented useful programs and models to develop community and industry relations contracts, improve internships, graduate employment, help solve national challenges and similar cases. The pathology of the relationship between academia and industry and the sharing of successful experiences of higher education institutions and executive bodies are very important in strengthening this relationship. For this purpose, in this article, a summary of the situation of the country's universities and research institutes is presented and new programs that can be effective in improving the situation are described. The historical investigation shows that the problematic of technology and civilization is one of the fundamental issues that were raised especially between the first and second world wars in Germany, and after that history, it has also found a wide resonance in Iran's intellectual space at different times. One of the most important formulations of this issue dates back to the 1950s, when in a wide cultural-political turn from the 1940s to the 1950s, the issue of technology and civilization was placed at the top of the intellectual issues of the government and the opposition. Contrary to the common perception, this issue did not remain at the theoretical level at that point and led to important strategic and executive decisions at the policy and governance levels. Among the most important of these cases is the installation of Seyyed Hossein Nasr, a traditionalist Islamic philosopher, as the vice president of Aryamhar Royal University of Technology (now Sharif) from 1351 to 1354, which has not yet been subjected to historical and analytical evaluation. This research deals with the main question of how to explain the appointment of a traditionalist philosopher as the head of the country's leading technological university at the height of the Pahlavi regime's modernization Manuscript profile

Negative consequences like violence, depression, suicide, harm-related behaviors and so on are related to this social problem. This study has tried to collect and analyze the mechanisms and models used by the world's leading universities by examining their programs. This descriptive-analytical study examines pre-existing documents with a content-analytical method. This practical study focuses on existing documents; these documents are published in the form of texts in websites of universities. The statistical population is all the programs and strategies that have been used in universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia in relation to the prevention and proper treatment of the stigma of mental health disorders. Based on this, about 127 related ideas were found and after refining them, 53 programs were finally selected. Findings showed that the main variables in the prevention and treatment of stigma of mental health disorders are awareness, behavior change, support network, student participation, mental health diagnosis solutions and software.
